Another hurdle crossed.

Hey Motha, want anotha ?!
TOTALLY ready to have another one. Hey, we can handle it !

We took on EIGHT children tonight. Not just 8, but 8 ranging in ages from
11 months-3 years old. ON MY PERIOD. In 96 degree weather. WITHOUT ALCOHOL !
Happy to report. Everyone lived.

J and I were able to put all of our kids down for a nap at the same time earlier in the day....so we were able to take a nap ourselves :) 2 hours people. Do you KNOW how long it's been since we've taken a nap ? 11 months and 11 days !
I TRULY believe that 2 hours is what made tonight end the way it did :)

There was a moment when I thought they were going to break us. For 10 minutes some one was crying, and unhappy. J is REALLY scary, so both baby girls wanted just me, and of course my boys wanted JUST me, which leaves 4 babies and....all together...just me.
J was able to relieve me of the boys and I took on the girls and after those 10 minutes it was great.
When the baby girls moms informed us, before leaving, that if the one cries and stops breathing and passes out....you just tip her upside down so the blood flow gets back to her head....I thought...this could be interesting. :) Didn't happen (phew...wipe brow)

The 4 three year olds played great together. They played in the playhouse, they jumped on the trampoline with the sprinklers underneath, they dressed up, played with toys, got in jammies, watched movies and read books.

Other than the incident with the bloody lip, oh and when my Spencer toppled out of the empty blown up swimming pool on to the concrete patio, right on his head (ouch).

Why couldn't it have been somebody elses kid. JUST KIDDING....JUST KIDDING ! Everything went well.

Ok.....who's turn next month !

You sound just about ready to open up a day care. The one we send our kids to is 16 kids up to age 3 (technically starting at 6 weeks though S&J are the youngest currently at 9 months). And they only need to have 4 adults at a time.

D-They all went to dinner and did some shopping.

Eva- NO...not ready to do this daily. In fact I have to give it up to people who CAN do this every day.
4-1 ratio is crazy. I'm sure you just put out one fire at a time working on the biggest first.

I'm one of those people lol. I have anywhere from 6-8 every day.

Ahhhaa another one who passes out when crying. Pete used to do that. Thankfully she has almost grown out of it but we learned that if we raised her arm during the breath holding time, that would sometimes jump start her breathing before passing out. It's a nice one to spring on the sitters before you leave!! I'm glad you survived being a koala tree. That's what I feel like when the kids are hanging all over me. Glad you survived and when do you get to hand your kids over to the others?

Nice job! I think I would have definitely "accidentally" lost a few kids along the way.
I'm a little uneasy about the whole "she might cry until she passes out" thing.
Wow.
