Fourth. or maybe it's the fifth when things change.

In the famous words of President Roosevelt, "It's the fourth of July Annie!" :)

We spent the 4th hanging out with some amazing friends. (I took pictures when we first got there...so many are left out..so I'm stealing some of these from a friends facebook :)
Good food, water slides, a game of 5'up (football) and some fireworks from the crazy assholes across the street made for a perfect 4th of July.

How exactly does this thing work ?

I'm not sure when it happens....but at some point from my first to my fifth we stopped running at the sight of the babies putting sand and wood chips in their mouths.
oh and leaves and wrapped candy and paper and that mysterious piece of foam something or other.
I keep my eye on them and if they change color or if I see several legs attached to something that went in...I walk over and take care of it.
Lets all say it together..."What doesn't kill them, makes them stronger" :)

That is soo great!! I'm the same way and for me it was partway thru the second child that i didn't worry so much...and my motto " a little dirt, grass, bark, left over water in a pail won't kill them:)"

That looks like you guys had a BLAST! Ours was uneventful. They outlawed ALL fireworks this year in our town including sparklers. We did have some watermelon and ice cream though. :)

Nate does look a lot like Spencer....but Cam and Ryan aren't looking as much the same as we thought they would.

I'm not really "ON" facebook. I have a profile. I don't do shit on it. I just like to see everyone else's pictures. All of those people who refuse to blog. :)
oh and all of those bastards who USED to blog. there I said it.
I have this love/hate relationship with facebook.

hilarious point that somewhere between kid 1 and 5 you stopped fishing "most" stuff out of their mouths. your day looked much like ours, how fun!! btw, when i say we're on vacation i use the term lightly. really we're living our "other" life right now. every few months we switch it up but this other life includes living with my folks which is a little different from the one where we have our own place, ya know?!

Good times! And it is much more fun when you stop worrying. My fifth ate sand. I didn't stop him.
