Tan lines

Enough said right.
I bitched about the cold for so long....that with the heat index rising into the 80's there's no place I'd rather be than outside.
Outside with a glass of cold beer, music and my wife sitting next to me.    but of course a park, PB&J's, screaming children and warm bottled water works too.

We had house guests last week and I feel TERRIBLE for not mentioning it sooner.    I didn't take my camera out once which is just not like me.    I had all of these perfect photo opportunities in my head that went so well with the post I had written (also in my head) but alas.  that is where is stayed.

Somewhere over the Rainbow traveled cross country to photo shoot a friends wedding in Seattle.   When Mere's not taking pictures she's teaching or selling girl scout cookies for the troop she's over or driving her daughter to either violin lessons, riding lessons, cheerleading, or some other extra curricular activity that she's probably presiding over.    She makes clothes and costumes for the girls plays at school...not just for her girls....but for the WHOLE cast.   She cloth diapered and even has an etsy store with some of her items.   She bakes cookies by the dozen, runs the silent auction at the school she's the PTA president over.   Am I missing anything Mere ?   She seriously makes the rest of us look like we're moving in slow motion.
Her wife is a doctor.  nuff said right.   a wife who likes a nice pedi and let me tag along :)
They are both amazing women and after meeting their 2 super cute and very well behaved daughters it couldnt' have gone better.
We had end of school stuff and carnivals and best friends birthday parties and they just went with the flow.   
We played cards and had a little beer and talked into the wee hours of 11 o'clock :)  we're pussy's what can I say.
It was a great trip and I am so glad they chose to stop here.    I'm sure it won't be our last visit together.
If I could ever talk my wife into the Disney World 2012 trip.   We could ALLL meet up :)

So schools out.  our schedule has been interrupted.   Things are moving at a much slower pace.  and I just KNOW. that we will find balance and a new rhythm really soon.   Otherwise.   I don't think I'll make it to fall. :)

Sydney's officially out of gymnastics. (her choice)  and it's summer and she's bored.

because as pretty as they look.....one is still bound to get knocked to the floor and held down with his brothers foot.
Luckily the laughter kept the tears away. :)  this time.
